Eventlocation Sickertshofen

SINCE 859

Substance, values and 1,000 years of history.

Not a conference centre. An estate. Managed by the same family for almost 100 years.

Hofgut Sickertshofen near Munich as historic family estate and event venue since 1926

From monastery estate to event venue. One family. Almost 100 years.

Hofgut Sickertshofen looks back on a history that begins in the year 859, when the land was transferred to a former Roman soldier. Centuries later, it became a monastery estate, a supply centre and eventually a family estate acquired in 1926 by Albert and Ida Loock from the Lower Rhine region.

Today, Stephan Loock runs the estate in the fourth generation. Since 2011, Sickertshofen has developed into one of the most sought-after event venues north of Munich – with the ambition that every event runs as smoothly, atmospherically and memorably as the estate deserves.

No tourist operation. No assembly-line catering. A real estate carried by one family for almost 100 years – and you can feel it.

OUR HISTORY

From soldier's estate to event campus. 1,167 years in eight milestones.

You can feel what has grown over decades. And you can feel what separates a family estate from an event factory.

  1. 859

    First documented mention

The land where today's Hofgut stands is first mentioned in documents – as a donation to a former Roman soldier. A place with history long before the concept of a corporate event existed.

  2. 938–1803

    The monastery era

For almost 900 years, Sickertshofen belongs to church institutions, most recently the Augustinian Canons of Indersdorf. During this period, the Chapel of the Holy Trinity with its Gothic frescoes is created and still exists today.

  3. 1926

    The Loock family takes over

Albert and Ida Loock from Kleve on the Lower Rhine acquire the run-down estate. In a letter, Albert describes the condition: "All roofs were rotten, nine large oaks had been felled, the animals were sick." With courage and consistency, they rebuild the estate.

  4. 1988

    The pumpkin era begins

Walburga Loock introduces pumpkin cultivation – today with more than 120 varieties. The annual Kunst & Kürbis festival becomes a visitor magnet and demonstrates the estate's ability to host thousands of guests.

  5. 2011

    The Vaulted Hall is created

An old cattle barn becomes the Vaulted Hall: 400 square metres, 18 limestone columns, underfloor heating and vehicle-accessible. The transformation from agricultural business to event venue begins.

  6. 2021

Beletage, Orangerie and the next generation

Stephan Loock takes over the estate in the fourth generation. In the same year, Beletage and Orangerie open – new spaces, new formats, new possibilities. The B2B focus gains momentum.

  7. 2025

    The event campus takes shape

With the new Getting Ready Apartment and the consistent B2B positioning, Hofgut Sickertshofen is now one of the most versatile event venues north of Munich – for companies that want more than a meeting room.

  8. 2026

    AINOVORA becomes exclusive partner

Claudia and Andreas Pfaller from AINOVORA become the exclusive photo and video partners for all B2B events at Hofgut after many years of collaboration, formerly under the name MOKATI Fotos und Film. From now on, high-quality documentation becomes part of the standard offer for corporate clients.

SUSTAINABILITY

100% green energy. No greenwashing.

Your corporate event at Hofgut Sickertshofen is energy self-sufficient – not through carbon offsets, but through genuinely self-generated energy. That is an argument that belongs in your next sustainability report.

Sustainable event venue Hofgut Sickertshofen near Munich with own biogas plant solar power and well

Own biogas plant & solar

Heat and electricity are generated entirely on the estate – by a biogas plant that uses farm waste and by large-scale photovoltaic systems.

Own well. Water self-sufficiency.

The Hofgut draws its service water from its own well on the estate. No external water consumption for your event – full independence from the public grid.

Living agriculture

More than 120 pumpkin varieties are cultivated on the estate. The Hofgut is an active agricultural business – not a backdrop, but a real estate with real circular economy. What is not used for events goes back into the soil.

Hofgut Sickertshofen is a demonstrably sustainable event venue for companies with ESG reporting requirements.
